For me, that thing was a 1970s "Snakmaster" sandwich maker that my Mom and Dad got as a wedding gift, and my Mom gave to me when I left home sweet home 9 years ago. I've used it, umm... maybe once, probably never.
The Snakmaster. Oh, yes. |
So now that I rediscovered this amazing device, I decided to put it to good use. Also happening simultaneously is my desire to finish all the random condiments in my fridge up before I leave... so over the course of the next few weeks, I'll be making some "interesting" flavor combinations...
This grilled cheese sandwich is somewhat tame, but oh so freaking delicious. Grilled Cheese Pizza. Amen.
As well as super easy! Bread, cheese, tomato sauce (I made mine from scratch), and some kind of meat. I used sausage :)
Start by spreading some yummy butter or margarine on bread, place buttered side down on Snakmaster:
Add tomato sauce (damn, I suck at taking pictures...)
Add cheese:
Add meat, more cheese, more sauce, then other slice of bread:
Close the Snakmaster and wait until steam rises:
Then, release and admire the perfectly cut sandwiches:
And enjoy!!!!
